Meeting with Heads of diplomatic missions and foreign organizations in Vietnam

 (binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the morning of November 11, at the Provincial Convention Center, a Meeting with Heads of diplomatic missions and foreign organizations in Vietnam took place.

 Attending the Conference were comrades: Nguyen Minh Hang - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Bui Le Thai - Chief of Office of the Central Committee for Foreign Affairs;  Representatives of leaders of central departments, ministries and branches; Ambassadors, representatives of embassies and consulates general of other countries; leaders of foreign agencies, organizations, and business associations;  foreign non-governmental organizations in Vietnam.

 On the side of Binh Dinh province, there were comrades: Ho Quoc Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Representatives of leaders of the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches, branches and localities; typical universities, colleges, associations, and businesses in the province.

 The conference aims to introduce and promote the potential, advantages and economic, cultural and social information of Binh Dinh province with foreign agencies and partners to gradually promote and expand relations  international cooperation, investment attraction, trade and tourism promotion to serve the province's socio-economic development.

 

 Comrade Ho Quoc Dung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee delivered the opening speech at the conference.

 Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that along with the good development of Vietnam's foreign relations with other countries, in recent years, generations of leaders of Binh Dinh province attaches great importance and has taken strong and specific steps to promote bilateral and multilateral cooperation with foreign partners in general, diplomatic agencies representing foreign missions and foreign organizations in Vietnam. Men in particular recognizing the role of the international community in the province's socio-economic development, the Binh Dinh provincial government is always committed to creating favorable conditions for agencies, businesses, organizations and individuals. Foreigners live and work in Binh Dinh province, contributing to the overall development of the province.

 Every year, the province is honored to welcome many foreign diplomatic representative agencies in Vietnam to work in the province and make strong commitments to support the province in foreign affairs, economic development, and investment promotion: investment, trade, and tourism, contributing to the overall success of the province's investment environment. The entire province has accumulated more than 670 domestic investment projects (according to the new Investment Law, 2014) with a total registered investment capital of more than 227,794 billion VND; 91 FDI projects with total registered capital of 1.18 billion USD.  In export activities, the province has also had many positive changes.  In the past 10 years, the province's export turnover has always been higher than the previous year, and the province's export of goods has grown significantly in both scale and value. The export market has expanded to 128 countries and territories, many export products have penetrated difficult markets with strict quality requirements such as Europe, America, Japan, Korea,  China, Singapore....

Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung emphasized that today's Meeting with Heads of diplomatic missions and foreign organizations in Vietnam is an opportunity for Binh Dinh province to strengthen, consolidate and deepen cooperative partnerships with countries around the world; is also an important premise for Binh Dinh province to continue to promote cooperation with foreign diplomatic agencies in Vietnam for mutual development, thereby contributing to the successful implementation of the goal of striving to 2030, the vision to by 2050, Binh Dinh will become a leading development province in the North Central and Central Coast regions, a center for processing industry, manufacturing, services, tourism and culture in the South of the region; The country's major center of economic development.

 

 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang spoke at the conference.

 Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang emphasized that the Meeting with Heads of Diplomatic Missions and Foreign Organizations held for the first time in Binh Dinh showed initiative   of the Province, the attention and close attention of the Provincial Leaders to foreign affairs, international economic integration, the quickness to grasp trends and opportunities to attract investment and promote trade and tourism serve socio-economic development.  This program also demonstrates the strong desire and determination of the Province in successfully implementing the goals identified in the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress and the Resolution of the 20th Party Congress of the province pacify.

 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang believes that this conference will open a new phase of good development for Binh Dinh province, as well as development cooperation between Binh Dinh and representative agencies,  international organizations, businesses, business associations and foreign non-governmental organizations.

 At the same time, emphasizing the policy of "building economic diplomacy with people, localities and businesses as the service center", the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to promote its role as a bridge, creating many forums,  space for localities, Vietnamese businesses and international partners to meet, exchange, connect, and reach practical and effective cooperation.  For Binh Dinh, a land of outstanding spiritual people with much potential and room for breakthrough development in the future, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to accompany and support Binh Dinh province to promote connection and cooperation with diplomatic representative agencies and foreign organizations in Vietnam, contributing to increasing the attraction of international resources to serve the province's development momentum.

 Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that in the current period, Binh Dinh province focuses on inviting investors with modern technology, high intellectual content, environmentally friendly, and effective resources, have products with competitive advantages, in fields including: Agriculture, forestry - fisheries; Industry; Port and logistics services; Tourism;  Urban economics.

 In addition, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan pledged that when investing in Binh Dinh, businesses and investors will be given every advantage to successfully implement the project and develop sustainably.

 At the conference, many representatives of diplomatic missions and foreign organizations in Vietnam spoke about the potential, advantages, and opportunities for exchange and cooperation with Binh Dinh province.

 On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee and the Korea Housing and Land Company signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on the "Urban Growth Partnership Program".

 Within the framework of the conference, delegates visited the exhibition area of typical products and goods of Binh Dinh businesses in the lobby area of the Provincial Convention Center.
